New phone books delivered in Zurich and Grand Bend

ZURICH - Members of
the Zurich Lions Club
were busy on Saturday
delivering the new phone
books around the village.
If you didn't receive one,
phone Lion Don O'Brien.
Old phone books can be
placed m the blue box for
recycling.
The Lions last met in
Exeter as it was a zone
meeting.
The Lions are sponsor-
ing the annual Santa
Claus Day for children on
December 18 from 2 to 4
p.m. at the Community
Centre.
Come out to the
Dominion Tavern on
Wednesday evenings at
7:30 p.m. to play darts.
Teams will be made up as
people arrive.
Tickets are available for
the "Holiday Sounds of
Christmas", a musical
program at the Zurich
Mennonite Church on
December 5 from 7 to 9
p.m. The cost is $8 for
adults and $4 for children
under 12 years of age.
Tickets are available from
Mary -Lou Erb, Cathy
Shantz or at the
Mennonite Church.
There was a good
turnout•at a card party on
Tuesday at St. Boniface
Parish hall sponsored by
the K. of C. members.
There will be an appre-
ciation social evening
with wine and cheese at
St. Boniface Parish on
November 25 for those
who have helped Father
Wronksl this year.
A Christmas dinner will
be held at Blue Water
Rest Home on November
28, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
There will be musical
entertainment in the
lobby for those waiting to
be served. Some mem-
bers of the Board and
Auxiliary will help the
kitchen staff.
The Youth Club of St.
Boniface and St. Peter's,
St. Joseph, worked on
Christmas gifts at their
last meeting.
On November 27 grades
5 to 8 students will be
going Christmas shopping
in London. Each student
will buy something for the
Angel Tree. Leaders are
Dianne Miller, 236-4479
and Denise Meidinger.

There will be a one -day
bus trip to Cullen Gardens
in Toronto, to see the
Christmas decorations
and enjoy a turkey dinner
on November 28. For

the Simcoe Christmas

at 1 p.m. and return at 10
