THAMES ROAD - Rev.
Marilyn Carter was in
charge of the baptismal
service on.Sunday morn-
ing at Elimville. She told
the children about bap-
tism and Ashley McKnight
poured water in the bap-
tismal font. Charlie Weber
lit the Christ Candle with
the assistance of Rev.
Carter.
The following children
were baptized: Alyssa
Barbara Grubb, daughter
of Michael and Patti -Ann
Grubb; Dylan Melvin
Johns, son of Brad Johns
and Kim Southcott; and
Alexander Terry Gallant,
son of Daniel and Ann
Gallant.
Marilyn Pym gave the
parents a Iighted candle
and a certificate. Jack
Stewart read scriptures.
Rev. Carter's mediation
was entitled "A Sobering
Thought."
Barry and Diane Jeffery
received the offering and
were the greeters.
The choir sang "There is
Water in the Font" accom-
panied by pianist Jean
Hodgert.
Flowers in the church
were from the memorial
service of the late Daisy
Etherington. Sympathy is
extended to the family.
Life and work of the

Thames Road.

Communion to shut ins

Plowing Match church ser-
vice video, taped

voice mass choir is avail-
able at a cost of $18, tax

teers are needed to make
lanterns for the
Progressive Christmas
Story at 7:30 p.m. at
Thames Road.
On Thursday evening,
November 25, at
Thamesview United at
Fullarton, John Fields of
OMAF will speak on
Family Farm and Farm
Stress, Consequences of
the Harvest, from 8 to
9:30 p.m.
The Progressive
Christmas Story will be
held on December 3 at 7
p.m. beginning at Thames
Road Church. Please bring
your Huron County
Christmas Bureau gift to
be presented at the last
stop. Refreshments will be
served at the end of the
story. There will be a free
will offering with proceeds
going to the Mission and
Service Fund.
Needed for the
Bethlehem Walk are any
blankets, fabrics, clay
pots, etc. suitable as props
for the Market Place.
Please drop them off at
Thames Road Church by
November 28. Anyone
interested in taking part in
the Market Place, call

Anyone who wants their
children's names placed in
the Christmas gift
exchange, made on
December 22 at the
Christmas concert, please

The Christmas meeting
of the Sunbeams will be
held on December 2 'from
9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at
Thames Road. They will
be making gingerbread
men and a manger mouse.
They are invited to bring a
guest. They will be singing
Christmas carols. Each is
to bring a toonie.

on Saturday evening.
