last month to first take
their request to extend

LUCAN — The village's Ausable
Community Centre is once again
looking for a new executive direc-
tor.
The centre''s consultant,
Rosemary Gahlinger-Beaune con-
firmed to the T -A on Monday that
the board of directors decided not
to offer Tony Baldeosingh a perma-
nent contract after hiring him in
d" at
July. Gahlinger-Beaune said
Baldeosingh was still under proba-
tion and the board decided it would
be best for the centre and
Baldeosingh to part ways.
Gahlinger-Beaune said the board
of directors evaluated
Baldeosingh's performance since
July and the "evaluation proved it
just wasn't the best fit."
She added the Ausable Centre is
looking for an executive director
who's committed to community
development and someone who has
knowledge of the area. The centre
hired Baldeosingh from Winnipeg.
When contacted by the T -A,
Baldeosingh said he was "astound-
ed (and) amazed" at the decision
but declined further comment.

the county underlining
council's concerns over

Mayor Ben Hoogenboom
started the discussion by
asking whether council

a traffic study, on Hwy. 83.
He said the increased
traffic due to the new
Canadian Tire store may
require the addition of a
third lane near the store.
Coun. Robert
Drummond doubts
