The Zurich Association, founded by this writer, received its charter from the Ontario Association in 1986 and started its history with some 200 members. However, interest in organized five pin bowl- ing across the province appears to be temporari- ly waning and the Zurich Association cannot meet today's membership numbers required by the O.F.P.B.A. Zurich Association president Mike Cregan may call a meeting shortly to formally dis- cuss the possible dissolu- tion of the Zurich P,fsx'r'tifi Association. If the Association folds, Zurich Town and Country bowlers may then continue their com- petition in all O.F.P.B.A. tournaments_ by joining the Bluewater 5 Pin Bowlers' Association Zone which is well rep- resented by Dashwood's Sherrie Edwards, Exeter's Bev and Mike Cregan and Grand Bend's Ron Dann on the Bluewater executive. BX TER -- The meets.. keep- on winning and the seniors can't seem to catch a break when it comes to Panther boys *yam• The South Huron District High School midget boys volleyball team went six for six at home last week in Huron league play. They finished off Goderich 25-14, 25-22 and 25-14 and then dis- patched Clinton St. Anne's 25-15, 25-14 and 25-17. Eric Ihrig and Chad Smith displayed strong -positional play with their great serving and hitting versus Goderich and Jake Romphf and Justin Hayter were key ingredients in the St. Anne's wins. Panther coaches Deb Lord and Tim Anderson said Will Boulam will be missed - he has trans- ferred to another school. The junior Panthers did almost as well as the midgets. They went 2-1 5y ,t.
