Another one goal
game lost by Cents
EXETER - The Exeter Centennials men's
soccer team once again lost a one goal
game, this time at home Friday versus St.
Columban. The final score was 1-0.
"1 guess turn -about is fair play," Cents
coach John Rasenberg said referring to
Exeter's 1-0 win over St. Columban earlier
this season.
Exeter and St. Columban played an even
first half but the Cents dominated the sec-
ond half. That scenario was the exact oppo-
site of what happened in the Cents win over
St. Columban.
"We had a couple of chances'but we
couldn't finish," Rasenberg said, echoing
what he has said after many games during
the second half of the season.
The loss dro' s Exeter's record to 5-7-3.
Although Rasenberg didn't know how the
other teams have fared in the First Division,
he was sure the Centennials are out of luck
when it comes to the playoffs.
"I'd say the chances are slim and none,"
he mused.
Understandably disappointed with the sec-
ond half of the season where wins have
been few and far between, Rasenberg said
he is "ecstatic" over the team's play over the
first half.
The Cents will play their last game of the
year at London Curinga on Oct. 9 at 4 p.m.
