Grape expectations
MaryandBill Smits proudly dispfay clusters of blue grapes in their greenhouse
on Anne St., Exeter. Bill brought the grape "sticks" (about 12 inches long) from
Holland in 1980 and has been tending them ever since.The Smits worked in the
greenhousegrape industry in Holland befo 7ttorning to.Canada in 1954.

LAMBTON - The
Lambton Safe Community
Council (LSCC) is calling
for nominations to recog-
nize individuals who have
takkrt_actions to improve
the level of safety in
Lambton County.
"Anyone may nominate
individuals for these
awards." explained Rob
Cairns, Co-chair of the
LSCC. "We want to recog-
nize people who are
active in making Lambton
a safer community and
encourage others to adopt
safe behaviours whether
at work or play."
Nominations must
include one statement of
support, and a brief out-
line of what the actions,
and benefits are. The
