Blue Water residents look forward to fall routine
ZURICH - As fall approaches, the residents of the
Blue Water Rest Home are looking forward to the
return of normal year routines, with the Auxiliary vis-
its, the Grade 5 Buddy Program, the Christian
Reformed Church Choir, the Lakeview Conservative

make monthly or bi-monthly visits.
A picnic in the park for the residents was an idea)
way to end the summer season. St. Christopher's
Beach in Goderich is very kind to seniors, and resi-
dents Carman Lovie, Margaret Hess, Ethel Moore,
Bernice Cann, Beatrice Rader, Kurt Gebel, Eben
Weigand, Neil Mustard, Stewart Thiel and'Josephine
Dietrich, assisted by Glen Thiel, volunteers' Kay Rydall,
Molly Gowdy, and Adjuvant Charline Finkbeiner
enjoyed watching the many boats drift along the water
front and the sandwiches for lunch.
Rev. Irene Richardson, interim minister at both
Emmanuel United Church in Zurich and Dashwood
United Church conducted Thursday afternoon Chapel
Service. Fr. Mario Cassar, interim priest at St. Boniface
Church, Zurich led the Catholic Service.
Thursday mornings, as part of the St. John Therapy
Program, Joan Leishman of Dashwood brings her
Chinese Pug, Skittle to the home to visit residents.
The residents enjoyed making homemade cookies on
Monday. and Friday afternoon with assistant Ann
McBride.
The residents enjoyed a wide variety of games
Wednesday evening, music listening on Thursday
evening and bingo on Friday evening as part of their
weekly activities. Coky Bedard and Friends entertained
the residents on Friday afternoon in the auditorium.
Adeline Denomy was pleased to receive many well
wishes, cards, visits and prayers from her family and
friends during the week of her 95th birthday celebra-
tions. B.W.R.H. Apartment tenant Seleda Steckle is cel-
ebrating 91 years young with many cards and bou-
quets from her family.
The residents' offer condolences to Mary Romaniszyn
and Donna Merner in the loss of their brother Bill
Merner of London who passed away in his 69th year.
Upcoming events
September 7, the mens group visit Penhale's Carriage
Works and a visit from the Auxiliary. September 10 the
residents will attend the Pioneers' Threshers Reunion
in Blyth, Sei ti .Aber 13 the Mt. Carmel Catholic Church
W.I. will entertain the residents for their September
birthdate_ patty, and September 14 a visit ta an apple
orchard.

On August 17,
Constable Shropshall
spoke about "Traveling
,Alone" Ale showed a
video based -on real
incidences and
explained how highway
travel, motel/hotel
stops and air travel
could be made more
safely. He also gave
many safety tips for
security at and around
home.
Dinner was at 6. p.m.
on August 24.

ANNUAL GENERAL M
The Board of Directors cordially invites you to attend the
3rd Annual General Meeting of the Community Care
Access Centre for Huron on Tuesday, September 28th at
7:00 pm. This event will be held in the library of the
Central Huron Secondary School, at 165 Princess St. E.
in Clinton, Ontario.
The Community Care Access Centre for Huron is a
health care agency funded by the Ministry of Health
which provides the residents of Huron County with
quality health care services in the+ home and community,
and assistance with placement in Long -Term Care
facilities.
AII Community Care Access Centre Members, as well as
the general public, are most welcome to join us for this
meeting and stay for refreshments with the Board of
Directors.
