Vanessa is also the granddaughter of the late Tom Somerville. Special thanks to Dr. Michael Shannon and the nursing staff at Stratford General Hospital for their excellent care. Huron Hospital, Exeter on August 16, 1999. Saviour "Sam" Aquilina of Exeter in his 95th year. Predeceased by his wife Carmen in 1987. Dear father to his son Sam and his wife Rose of Perth, Australia, son Joseph and his wife Christine of Brantford, son Charles and his wife Mary of London, son Anthony and his wife Susi of Vienna, Austria, daughter Mary (Botermans) and her husband Paul of Brantford, daughter Pauline (Spencer) and her husband Gregory of London, and son Alfred and his wife Cedi of Sault Ste. Marie. Lovingly remembered by 27 grandchildren, 35 great- grandchildren and 3 great - great -grandchildren. Friends were received at. the Dinney Funeral Home, Exeter on August 18, 1999. A Legion service was held at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Precious Blood Mission on August 19, 1999. Father Paul Baillargeon, presided. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Those wishing to make memorial contributions may consider the Precious Blood Mission Building Fund and South Huron Hospital. MEDEMA - Peacefully, s at London, Ontario, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 19, 1999'. Mrs. Janneke "Jane" (Popping) Medema of Exeter and formerly of St. Thomas, in her 91 st. year. Widow of Jacob F. Medema (1985). Dear mother of Mrs. Geraldine Jones of St. Thomas, Mrs.' Helen_ Voerman and her husband Tom of Exeter, Mrs. Liz Hoekstra and her husband George of St. Thomas, Mrs. Af Blake of Montreal, Eric Medema and his wife Anita, Mrs. Elaine Bishop and her husband Bryan, Mrs. Irene Sladek and her husband Elbert,. all of London, Mrs. Christine Nichols and her husband Gary of Bellevue, Wash., Mrs. Jackie "Kobi" Cummins and her husband Data; Mrs. Jane Chambers and: her husband Peter, all of London and Paul Medema and his wife Anne of Nepean. Also survived by 2 sisters in The Netherlands, 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and. several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Medema was predeceased by a grandchild, Yvonne Voerman, son-in-law, Foster Jones and by 2 sisters and 3 brothers. The funeral service was conducted at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas on August 23, 1999. Rev. Robert Peebles of Exeter officiated. Interment was made in Elmdale Memorial Park, St. Thomas. Memorial donations to the Arthritis Society gratefully acknowledged.
