bers attended the Kirkton Horticultural
Society's Festival of Flowers at the
Community Centre on August 17 when
the guest speaker was Brenda Gallagher
who showed slides on 'Wild Flowers

The annual Beef Producers Barbecue
at Poplar Hill Park was well attended on
August 19 in spite of the rain.
Granton U.C.W. members, husbands
and friends enjoyed a supper provided
by the Kountry Katerers at the home of
Isabel and Lloyd Mardlin, St. Marys on
August 10. Later they were entertained
around the campfire by Charles Hayden
and Harold Mills on the guitar and
accordion.
