Thee positions may occur at various elementary schools In Huron
and Perth Counties in the 1999/2000 school year.
Duties of the Resource Educational Assistant include
supporting staff and students in the daily operation of the school
library and computer technology, as follows:
• operating and maintaining a computerized library automation sys-
tsm;
• maintaining the physical organization of library books, resources
and providing support for associated clerical tasks;
- leaming new software and technology to assist with program
delivery; and,
- identifying and troubleshooting computer software and hardware
issues.
The ideal candidate will possess:
-excellent computer literacy skills in micro -computer applications as
well as an aptitude and interest In teaming new technologies;
-exemplary professional, interpersonal and oral comrnunlcation
skills;
-the capacity to work independently and problem -solve;
-the ability to organize and multi -task in • busy eo*onment;
-experience and Interest in working with students; and,
-knowledge of library operations.
Terms and Conditions of Employment:
Successful candidates will become members of OSSTF/OCTEA,

Permanent Part•TIme -15 Hours per week, 10 months pet year
Permanent Full -Time • 30 Hours per week, 10 months per year
