Excitin ni GRAND BEND — It was DH Machine & Tool. night at Grand Bend Micro Speedway last Saturday and after several weeks of miserable weather we finally had a fairly decent night of weather and an exciting night of racing. In the Allsport Junior Micro Sprint B, division it was the #29 of Billie Ritchie from Parkhill (Porkhill Farms) and the #16 of Blair McCann of Parkhill (McCann Redi Mix) capturing heat race wins. In the feature, Ritchie dominated the field throughout the course of the race and the only way the other drivers could catch up was if a caution flag came out. The drivers' wish came true and the caution flag came out. The unfortunate part was_ that it was Ritchie spun out allowing the #19 of Mitchell Stutt from Forest (Roy's n Exeter Lawnbowling Club members Lei Hilts, left, and Bill . Mickle won the Clinton Community Credit Union men's pairs tournament at Exeter last week. Hills and Midde scores 3W45 while second place finishers deter Meal's and Roy Triebnfr, also of Exeter, scored 3W44. Ii the feature event that was nose to tail and side by side racing from green to checkered, Stewart (Harbour Side Trailer Park) held off the entire field while piloting his car to victory lane. •In the Aqua- Fina Mini Sprint division it was the #88 of Paul Shipway froth Ailsa Craig (Grogan Ford) and the #3 of Lisa Jennison from Grand Bend (Goodwrench) capturing heat race wins. In the fea- ture event. Jennsion led 28 and a half laps -of 30 while being pi essured by points leader Shipway Jennison held. off Shipway for six laps before the points leader got underneath Jennsion and drove his car to another checkered flag. Congratulations to Jennsion for picking up her first ever checkered flag, in hei' heat race and for her third place podium finish in the feature. In the Mug Rootbeer Mini Super Truck division it was the #3 of Shaun Jennison from Grand Bend. (Goodwrench) and the #18 of Darcy McLennan from Lambeth (Husqvarna) col- lecting heat race wins. In the feature race that pro- vided racing battles all over track, Jennsion (Doug Jennsion Contracting) col- lected another feature vic- tory for the season. In. the Pepsi Micro Sprint div sion it was the #54 of Darrell Limon. from Watford (MvRobert Fuels) and the #22. of Troy Cameron from Mossley picking up heat race wins. lb the feature event it was the #31 of Adrian Kemps from London (Performance Unlimited) collecting him- self a victory.
