GRAND BEIIfi. The
River Road Ards Co-op
Gallery has proven world-
class art can be produced
even in small places like
Grand Bend.
A calendar featuring
works by seven Grand
Bend -area artists who
belong to the art gallery
has won an international
competition against 7,500
entries.
The art work depicting
local regional scenes was
included in a 1999 calen-
'dar created by
Commercial Print -Craft
Ltd. of Woodstock. The
printer, which *J the
calendar mainly for pro-
motional purposes,
entered it in the four-
colour calendar category
of the Premier Print
Awards, a graphics arts
competition.
The gallery initially
became involved with the
project when Tom
Downing, a board mem-
ber from Commercial
Print -Craft, visited the
gallery while vacationing
in the area.
