Dentist retires
ST. JOSEPH - On July
11, 50 guests attended a
party at the St. Joseph
residence of Dr. Bruce
Eickmeier to mark his •
retirement from dentistry
after 46 years.
The party was complete
with a Dixieland band
from London, all school
teachers.
Eickmeier grew up in
Zurich and began dental
practice in Exeter upon
graduation. After this he
practiced dentistry in
Hamilton for many years.
After that he spent two
years at Sunnybrook
Hospital in Toronto and
then accepted a position
at Victoria Hospital,
London.
The last six year he has
travelled from coast to
coast for Cerum Dental
Co. of Calgary, giving
seminars to groups of
dentists.
He resides in London
and St. Joseph with his
wife Dodie. They have
two sons Ronald and
Robert.
A Jungle
Journey' for
children
EXETER - Watch out
for the jungle creatures
who will be taking over
Exeter. Exeter United
Church is holding its
annual Vacation Bible
School. •
This year the theme is
"Jungle Journey" with
lots of creatures from the
jungle. Children ages
three to -11 will come •
and explore God's_
promises,
od's-
promises, make crafts,
and play games with
other children.
Last year there were'
approximately 80 chil-
dren participating with
several dedicated volun-
teers. So plan to have
your child(ren) attend
the "Jungle Journey" on
July 19 to 23 from 9 a.m.
to 11:45 a.m.

end, which saw area
homes showing off things
such as folk art, shrub-
bery, gardens, trees and
