green waste collection
will be August 3. Green
waste should be to the
curb by 7 a.m. to ensure
collection. Green waste
must be in cardboard
boxes, or containers that

CENTRALIA - . On
Sunday, June 27, the
Campbell Reunion was
held at the Centralia
Community Centre. A
large crowd attended,
although the weather
was unsettled. Larry and
Mary Cronyn and family
were in charge of
arrangements and sports.
The children and adults
enjoyed playing several
games. Nancy and,Bob
Campbell and Homer and
Marilyn Campbell will
plan the picnic in 2000.
Family and friends of
Jason Essery joined in
celebrating his third
birthday on Sunday, July
4. The party was held on
the red caboose of the
Port Stanley train.
Everyone enjoyed the
train ride, especially the
young train buffs. Guests
came from Toronto,
Burlington and Wiarton.
Upcoming Events
Minister Heather Scott
led the worship on
Sunday, July 11 at Zion
West United Church. Her
sermon was titled,
"Inconvenient Grace".
The next worship service
will be held at Centralia
on July 18 at 10 a.m.

GRAND BEND -- North Lambton OP were kept
busy last week investigating four property dam-
age incidents in the Grand Bend area.
The first report was received from a resident on
Elmwood Ave. in Grand Bend when a white 1988
Pdntiac's windshield was damaged by an axe dur-
ing the evening of July 5. The axe was left in the
windshield. A half-hour, later the second call
'came in about damage to boats near
Westparkway Drive in Bosanquet. A Catamaran
was tipped over and left to float away in the lake.
The boat was eventually recovered with minor
damages. • Fifteen minutes after the second call,
the third came in about damage on Ipperwash
Beach where::a wooden beach barricade was
destroyed by someone using an axe. The last call
came in at 12:30 a.m. when a black 1987 Ford
Mustang was damaged by a key in the Gables
Tavern parking lot. _ ; ,, , �t

GRAND BEND.— During the evening of July 6,
$1,600 was stolen from the Village Green Mini
Golf located on Main St. The thieves entered the
building by breaking a window on the east side of
the business's building and then crawling through
a small opening. Once inside they went to the
cash register area where they found the cash
float. Minor damage was done to the inside of the
cash drawer by persons prying it open. North
Lambton OPP or Crimesteppers is asking the pub-
lic to call in if they know of anyone coming into a
large quantity of money. ,
Candy floss machine stolen
STEPHEN TWP. -- During the evening of July 11
and morning of July 12, a candy floss machine
was stolen from the White House Restaurant on
llwy. 21. OPP are also investigating the theft of
tools from a property on Con. 11 and a stereo
from a vehicle on Playhouse Bti. during the same
evening.
