The basement was decorated with white, pink and rose balloons, mini lights and pots of fern. Jean Hodgert played "Perhaps Love" on the piano for Erin Richardson to escort Lisa to her decorated chair. June Stewart welcomed everyosg, Rachel,, Tyler and Sarah Van Allen did some clogging and step dancing. A humorous skit took place with Margaret Stewart play- ing the part of Lisa the bride; Margaret McCarter the part of Tom the groom, Lorraine Alexander the part of Joe Turford, Ferne Stewart the part of Nathan Allen, and June Stewart the part of Aaron Gardiner. June Stewart gave an address and Katrina and Carrington Lauzon and Rachel and Sarah Van Allen carried the guts to the bride. Lisa thanked the women who hosted the shower, for the many gifts and invited every- one to her reception in Hensall in July. All joined in singing "For She's .A Jolly Good Fellow"..A lunch -of desserts and beverage was.served. Church service The regular church service was held on Sunday morning at Elimville with the Rev. Marilyn Carter in .charge. She lit the Christ Candle with the help of Zachary Kadey, and she told the children's story "Forgive Us". The choir sang an anthem accompanied by pianist Jean Hodgert. Bruce Delbridge read the scriptures. The title of Rev. Carter's sermon was "Rebeccas and Peacemakers". Sharon Lynn read a Minute for Missions "Welcome to Canada". Bruce Delbridge and John Miner received the offer- ing and Delbridge was CR. Dan and Nancy Rohde and Elizabeth of Balinafad visited with friends Blake and Michelle Robinson and family- - Kirkton on Saturday evening. On Sunday they visited with Glenn •and Marilyn Rohde and Tammy, Bill and Rhoda Rohde. Gerry and Elda Riehl accompanied Norval and Shirley Smith to Kensington, Prince Edward Island, where they visited with Ben and Faye Riehl, who is Gerry and Shirley's brother. They were away a couple of weeks. 1 Zurich Dining for Seniors ZURICH - Senior diners met on June 30 with 34 persons present. Meda O'Brien was the 50/50 winner. Following dinner bingo was played. Winners were Reta Snyder, Glena Horner, Theresa Stark, Elizabeth Grainger. The TV dinner was won by Marj Reichert. Games of Solo and Pepper were played. • Appreciation luncheon The Break Time for Mom's support group in Crediton held an appreciation lun- cheon for its volunteers last Tuesday, also marking the support group's last meet- ing until September.The group meets Tuesday mornings and works to support stay-at-home moms.
