DASHWOOD - On June 21 the Dashwood Seniors met
at the Community Centre at 6 p.m. with Ray Rader

Forty members and one visitor answered the roll call,
followed by reports from the secretary, treasurer and
card secretary.
A report was given of the accomplishments of the
club at the Senior Games. Bronze medals were award-
ed to Norma Coleman and Donald Parsons for horse
shoes, Jack Riddell for golf, Anita Riddell for golf, Ray
Webb for golf, Wilmer Desjardine and Hubert Miller
for Solo and a silver medal to Harold Finkbeiner play-

A bus trip on August 20 to the Seniors Follies in
Toronto, leaves the community Centre at 8 a.m. sharp.
The Friedsburg Day Parade was discussed and it was
agreed that Lorne Becker and Tony Martens world
organize a float with volunteer help to decorate. The
theme will be "One Foot in the Furrow".
The next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on September
13 (so it won't conflict with the week of the plowing
match) at the Community Hall with Katherine Becker's
group in charge.
Jack Cockwell got the correct number in a guessing
contest.
The meeting was adjourned by Martha Pfaff and
Shirley Martene. A number of guessing and relay
games ended the evening along with some euchre and
Solo games. All seniors are welcome.

The Garden of Life
Your life can be a garden
And a lovely place indeed
Where understanding is the soil
Affection is the seed
And if you tend each little plant
With love and hope and care
You'll see the flowers of friendship.
