Exeter United
Church developing
vision for the future
EXETER— Exeter United Church has invited its
congregation to help develop a mission statement
and vision for the future.
On June 13, the church hosted a barbecue and
discussion period. During the discussion period
church members were asked to come up with
ideas on how to improve the church and re-
structure the church board.
Last Thursday the church's millennium com-
mittee met to discuss the congregation's sugges-
tions. The committee has been charged with or-
ganizing the church's concerns and ideas.
"atIf desfre Is to-ohar ge 16accommodate' tho4--
spirituality needs of the new millennium," said
Judy McDougall, a member of the board.
McDougall said , the committee has found
church members would like a' stronger and
friendly environment fostered at the church.
They would also like a larger variety of music
during worship services and more interaction
with the community.
The committee will present the, ideas and con-
cerns to the church board on June 23.
