The Ilderton Agricultural Society held Merton's first
annual rodeo last weekend.The weekend saw many
rodeo events including saddle bronc riding, calf roping
and bull roping. Pictured above, Sherry Thompson
gives it her best shot in the ladies breakaway competi-
tion on Sunday.

Anal itching can be uncomfortable. lit
is most commonly caused by pin-
worms or hemorrhoids, but can be due to pruritis
ani, an irritation caused by excessive sweating or
fecal seepage. This condition can be aggravated
by alcohol, coffee, tea, chocolate and citrus fruits.
To 'treat anal • itch, cleanse the area and apply
witch hazel pads ("Tucks"). A small application of
hydrocortisone 0.5% cream can also help the itch.
Listening to music on earphones can lead to ear
damage if volume is continually too high. If other
people can hear the music from your earphones,
it's too loud.
Having trouble swallowing tablets or capsules? Try
drinking a little water before you take your medi-
cine. It is more difficult to swallow pills if your
mouth and throat are dry. And remember to drink a
full glass of water with your pills. This means
between 3 and 6 ounces.
