Church service honours fathers

SAINTSBURY - On
Saturday evening at 7
p.m. the women and
girls of St. Patrick's
with Margaret Carroll
leading the service, cel-
ebrated their Evening
prayer service honour-
ing the fathers of the
congregation. Katie -
Scarlett and Courtney
MacGillivray assisted
with the scripture read-
ings. The children's
focus and message
were given based on
scripture about "Jesus
choosing his disciples."
A musical selection
"Living for Jesus" was
enjoyed along with a

Eucharist. A picnic
lunch and a time of fel-

before the summer
vacation schedule.
Fathers from St.
Patrick's and the com-
munity were honoured
with a number of family
get-togethers, movies,
dinners out and a trip
to Sky Dome for the
Blue Jay game on the
weekend, as families
paid tribute to their
dads.
Birthday wishes from
St. Patrick's and friends
go to Hugh, Suzanne
and Crystal Davis, all
celebrating this week.
Travis and Starr Davis
entertained several
school friends Friday
evening for swimming
and a barbecue after
school.
Katie -Scarlett
MacGillivray was an
overnight guest with
grandparents. Hugh and
Hazel Thursday of this
week.
The Varna United aural hosted its annual pork barbecue at the Stanley

Township Complex last Wednesday, serving over 1,200 meals. Helping out with
