An art exhibition by
students from St.
Patrick Catholic School
opened last week.The
show entitled "Creative
Hands" will be show-
cased in Lucan's Ausable
Community Centre
until June 15. Located
on Main St., the gallery
is open Mon. - Fri. from
9 a.m. - 5 p.m. At right,

Canadians remember
Terry Fox and his.
Marathon of Hope in
1980.
Today, children,
teenagers and new
Canadians learn about

lessons.
This 22 -year-old main

symbolized unselfish-
ness, perseverance and
courage. - .
Terry Fox is truly a
modern-day hero that
Canadians can cal 1 their
own.
In Ontario, there are
243 Terry Fox Run loca-
tions. However, one area
that is in need of a Run
organizer and volunteers
is Lucan.
The Terry Fox
Foundation is seeking
volunteers from Lucan to
continue the tradition of
a Terry Fox Run in that
community.
The experienced staff
at the Foundation is
ready to assist with all
the details in administer-
ing a Run site.
This is an exciting
opportunity to help raise
awareness in the fight
against cancer and to

The Terry Fox Run will
be held on Sunday,
September 19. •
Cancer treatment has
had some great results
since Terry's Run in
1980, but more money is
needed for research to
find a cure for this dis-
ease. Lucan may make
the difference.
