tronwood Senior Men's Spring lnvitational last week
by stroking a 75. Exeter's Scott Burton won the 50-54
flight with a 76. Both call Ironwood their home club.
Barry McShea of the Bonnie Doon club topped the.
55-59 flight with a 71, jack Eskra of Sunningdale won
the 60-64 flight with a 76 and Dave Clark of
Sunningdale won the 6549 flight with a 7I.The eighth
annual Ironwood Senior Men's Invitational fall tourna-
ment is scheduled for Sept. 8.

Exeter women's soccer player Peggy Brownlee gets
ready to kick the ball up the field during Sunday's
game versus the London West End Blues at Exeter
Community Park. Exeter won 2-1. Exeter came out
strong utilizing new passing options and putting pres-
sure on the West End defence.Wendi Sims scored
Exeter's first goal mid way through the first half after
carrying the ball in on the right hand side and shoot-
ing from out wide. West End scored minutes into the
second half to tie the game. Exeter got the winner
late in the second half from Kristin Strang who con-
verted a cross from Sims. Keeper Lisle Geurts along
with Brownlee and Ann Heeney were solid on
defence for Exeter who next travels to Delko June 23

GRAND BEND -- The
18th annual Dave
Scatchard Invitational
Charity Golf Tournament
was an unqualified
success yet again.
Tournament organizers
said 61 teams
participated in the event
last week and 270 people
attended the banquet..
