EXETER - On June 13, Exeter United Church is
inviting its congregation to a barbecue.
Immediately following the service, at approxi-
mately 412 noon, the congregation will gather at
Exeter Public School. In the meantime, each per-
son is requested to give careful consideration to
the key question: "What do you believe God is call-
ing Exeter United Church to do?" After the barbe-
cue, there will be a process through which every-
one will share his/her responses to the key ques-
tions. It is out of these responses that a new mis-
sion statement for the congregation will emerge. It
is also anticipated that this will lead to changes in
the church board structure.
The leaders are trying to contact everyone by
telephone. However, if you have not been called,
and you have an interest in this exercise, and can
attend, you are welcome.
