benefItting Leukemia Research Rind" •
Canada with the third annual Golf For
Leukemia Tournament May 29 at Exeter Golf Club.
The tournament, sponsored by the United Food and
Commercial Workers Local 617P Nabisco workers,
attracted 70 plus golfers last year and raised $1,400.
The tourney tees off at 7 a.m. and lasts till 3 p.m.
with a wrap up party at Murphy's alterwart is.

EXETER — Golfers who want give something
back can do so with the first ever Canadian Liver
Foundation Charity Clog Tourney at Ironwood Golf
Club June 3.
Sign up sheets are available at Gar's. gar & Grill or
you can register by calling Brian Dupuis, 641-6491,
ext. 218. Cost is $95 which includes a $65 Labatt's
golf shirt, 18 holes of golf including power cart, 'lunch
• gnd beverage, a chance to win prizes plus a steak
dinner and beverage.

Cole remembered with tree
HENSALL — Hensall Minor Hockey and the Hensall
Sr. A Sherwoods will plant a tree in memory of
Lawrence Cole outside the Hensall Arena on June 5 at
11:30 a.m.
Cole, along with Chris Wilhelm, died in a single car
accident on Feb. 21, 1999.
Cole was a well known and liked minor hockey,
junior and senior hockey referee and linesman.
The memorial tree planting takes place during the
Hensall Minor Hockey/Sherwoods fourth annual
Baseball Bash.

brilliant offensive performance by Jaclyn VanEsbroeck
who scored four goals, three in a 10 -minute period in
the second half. Exeter's other goal was scored by
Heather Morgan, one of the two U-1'5 call-ups who
played in the game. Five West MiddlesexYouth Soccer
League (WMYSL) players were also called up to play
_`fo the depleted Gunners who fielded only seven reg-
' ulars.The win brings the Gunner record to 1-1.The
Gunners next pray Ca at home versus Woodstock on
June 2 at 6:45 p.m.
