These athletes also qualify for the Ontario West Regional champi- onships May 28-29 in Sarnia. Top finishers at the regionals move on to OFSAA June 3-5 in Toronto. The Panthers won the title in a sudden -death shootout. MacLean sips from Memorial Cup OTTAWA — Exeter's Jeff MacLean capped his OHL career with the holy grail of junior hockey, the Memorial Cup. MacLean, a defenceman with the OHL Ottawa 67s, sipped from the Memorial Cup Sunday after Ottawa edged the Calgary Hitmen 7-6 in overtime. "It's just starting to sink in," MacLean said from Ottawa when the T -A reached him Monday afternoon. 1 woke up this morning and realized I'm a Memorial Cup champi- on. It's the best feeling in Jeff MacLean my life." Besides winning the Memorial Cup, MacLean said the next biggest highlight from the,tourna- ment was beating Belleville 4-2 in the semi- final.
