ri
By Deb Lord
STRATFORD - What do you get when you mix white,
black, brown and calico cats on a stage? For Exeter
Dance Club, it means winning one of the; truest
awards at a dance competition.
On April 24, 55 dancers from the Exeter Dance Club
(affliliated with Jo Read School of Dance) travelled to
the Stratford's Kiwanis Music Festival.
Decked out in leotards, cat's ears and whiskers, the
troupe danced for 10 minutes in front of impressed
judges and spectators.
"The number was very well performed and enjoy-
able," one of the judges remarked.. "Choreographers
must have had a lot of patience to work with such at
large group of performers" he added.
After adjudication, the Dance Club received the
'fghest Overall' award. C i* wifi a Westfk

Choreographers/teachers Pam Cavaliere and Sheree
Trottier were very pleased with the girls' accomplish-
ments.
"I am very proud of all the performers. The talented
performers ranged from ages five to 17 and one
mature cat, Laurie Read, sang a very dynamic solo
'Memory'," stated Trottier.
"All the performers put their best foot forward and
