Assistant Mechanic
Primary duties will be assisting our Class A Mechanic in
maintaining a fleet of recycling and co -collection trucks. The ideal
candidate will have their DZ license, but this is not a
requirement.
Wage rate: $12 - $14/hour with full benefit package.
General Maintenance
Duties include oil changes and greasing of trucks and
maintenance and repair of plant equipment. Sound knowledge of
;welding, fabricating, electrical and hydraulics is required.
Wage: $10 - $12/hour with full benefit package.

invites applications for the position of RESOURCE EDUCATIONAL
ASSISTANTS at various schools in Perth County, effective late August,
1999.
The Position:
Duties of the Resource Educational Assistant include support in all
three areas of computer technology, library, and special education, as
follows:
Computer Technology
-identifying and troubleshooting computer software and hardware
issues;
-supporting DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows `95, Novell Netware, Internet,
e-mail as well as venous software packages; and,
-teaming new software and. technology to assist with program delivery.
Library
-operating and maintaining acoMputerized cataloguing, circulation and
search system;
-maintaining the physical organization of library books and resources;
-providing support for clerical tasks such as ordering books ar
resources; and,
-assisting staff and students in locating both physical a?td Qlectronic
teaming resources.
Special Education
-providing resource assistance to individual and/or small groups of
students under the direction of the Resource or Classroom Teacher,
Terms and Conditions of Employment:
This is a unionized position. Successful candidates will become
members of OSSTF/OCTEA, District 8.
Hours of Work: Part -Time - 15 Hours per week, 10 months per year
Full -Time -.30 Hours per week, 10 months per year
The ideal candidate will possess:
-excellent computer literacy skills in micro -computer applications as
well as an aptitude and interest in teaming new technologies;
-exemplary professional, interpersonal and oral communication skills;
-the capacity to work independently and problem -solve;
-the ability to organize and multi-task.in a busy environment;
-experience and interest in working with special needs students; and,
-knowledge of library operations.
