MAIN STAGE -
Anything Goes
Book and lyrics by
Cole Porter; Running
June 15 to July 3.
Anything Goes, with a
rousing Cole Porter
score, is a tuneful, tap-
dancing, transatlantic
romp of the world's
favourite shipboard
musical. Written in the
age of midnight sail-
ings, ocean crossings
and shipboard
romances, Anything
Goes preserves that
age's jazzy tempo,
mixes in a tender - if
tangled - love story and
peppers it all with a
cornucopia of comic sit-
uations. It isn't all
smooth sailing and
hijinks when the plot
thickens with imper-
sonations and compli-
cations. The voyage
ends in true 30's style
with forgiveness all
around. The voyage
includes dazzling tunes
such as "I Get a Kick
Out of You", "Anything
Goes", "Buddy
Beware", "You're the

the. dynamic "Blow,
Gabriel, Blow."
