Anything Goes, with a rousing Cole Porter score, is a tuneful, tap- dancing, transatlantic romp of the world's favourite shipboard musical. Written in the age of midnight sail- ings, ocean crossings and shipboard romances, Anything Goes preserves that age's jazzy tempo, mixes in a tender - if tangled - love story and peppers it all with a cornucopia of comic sit- uations. It isn't all smooth sailing and hijinks when the plot thickens with imper- sonations and compli- cations. The voyage ends in true 30's style with forgiveness all around. The voyage includes dazzling tunes such as "I Get a Kick Out of You", "Anything Goes", "Buddy Beware", "You're the Topp; - )E riendsh p` r itld the. dynamic "Blow, Gabriel, Blow." C9a1'M' For Murder By Frederick Knott; Running July 6 to 17. Dial 'M', is the story of a husband who has married for money and now plans to kill his wife. He arranges the perfect murder. He blackmails a scoundrel from his past into strangling her for a fee of 1000 pounds, and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself. But things, of course, do not turn out quite as planned. Join us for what Alfred Hitchcock called "the perfect murder mystery". It would be a crime to miss it! The Odd Couple By Neil Simon; Running July 20 to 31. A fast -paced British farce by master of the genre Michael Cooney, (and son of Playhouse favourite Ray Cooney). Cash On Delivery is the tale of a con artist who has duped the welfare authorities for years claiming benefits for the innumerable people he claims to have as tenants. Just as he decides to 'kill off' many of the imaginary dole recipients, the welfare investigators come knocking at his door! Singin' In The Rain By Betty Comden and Adolph Green; Running August 17 to September 4. The perfect all - singing, all dancing MGM musical, Singin' in the Rain, is about Hollywood in the 420's, as silent pictures give way to the "talkies."
