Following the U.C.W. purpose, 31 members answered the roll call with "their Mother's favourite song or flower." The Summer Event at Siloam United will be held July 17 and the Campsite Experience is at Camp Bimini at 9:30 a.m. on June 15 with a potluck luncheon. Once again, Norma Cockwill requested members to save large margarine 'containers for the Bazaar in November. Betty Clarke asked for donations of angel food cakes as well as helpers for the Friendship Tea June 3. A chili luncheon is planned for May 16 after church. The next executive meeting will be held May 1.7 at 7:30 p.m. and the next General Meeting is May 31 at 8 p.m. Devotions were con- ducted by Helen Coates, Eleanor Clark, Helen Wasnidge, Hazel Westcott, Flora Doerr and Susan MacGregor using the theme "Whose daughter are you?" Eleanor Clark spoke and discussed two possible models for the organization of women'soups in the United Church. She told the children a story enti- tled 'Jesus Love'. June Stewart read the scriptures. The men's choir sang "Mother." The title of Rev. Carter's ser- mon was "Have You Seen It?" Announcements The Finance Committee would like to thank every- one who attended the spaghetti and lasagna supper, volunteered to clean up and for making the first attempt a huge success. Camp Bimini has a wish list of items they need in order to operate the camp this year. The list is on the bulletin board. On May 11 there will be a U.C.W. meeting at Thames Road. The Church in Society commit- tee, Joan Morgan, Mary Rowcliffe, Jo -Ann Rowe, Dorothy Duncan and Alma Ballantyne, will provide the program. The roll call Will be "Your favourite spring flower". Group W will serve lunch. May 16 will be M&S Sunday. Following the ser- vice, a light lunch pre- pared by the Outreach Committee will be served. On May 16 an evening of music by Joyce Fell and Sarah Jane Hood "Cousins in Concert" will be held at 8 p.m. at Main St. U.C., Mitchell. All proceeds will benefit Hibbert U.C., Staffa; Knox Presbyterian, Monkton; and Main Street U.C., Mitchell. Advance tickets are adults $5, chil- dren $2. At the door, adults $6, children $3. Tickets are available from Helen Fell 348-4291, Joost 345-2338 and Walther's I.D.A. Drugstore in Mitchell. Refreshments will follow. The Community of Rural Churches are holding a service of worship, song and fellowship on May 30 at Thames Road U.C. at 10:30 a.m. The Finance Committee is looking for volunteers to help with a barbecue fundraiser at Darling's on May 21, 4:30 to 8 p.m. and May 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Give your name to the Finance Committee if you are able to help. Personals Ross and Mildred Merrill of Bayfield visited with Bill and Rhoda Rohde on Thursday afternoon. Glenn, Marilyn and Tammy Rohde, Bill and Rhoda Rohde attended the christening of Elizabeth Diane Rohde, daughter of Dan and Nancy Rohde on Sunday morning at Balinafad United Church. After the service they spent the rest of the day with Dan, Nancy and Elizabeth.
