espeare �nwheels'coming to high school
Comedy .night was held on Tues., April 27, and
was a huge success' The audience was filled and
a good time was had by all. Congratulations to
the AMI OA drama students for a performance.:
well done!
'Shakespeare on Wheels' will be arriving
at S.H.D.H.S. on Wed.,. May 5 to hold a
drama workshop. These professional
actors will be working directly with stu-
dents, an opportunity offered to South
Huron because of the amalgamation of
Perth and Huron County school boards.
In the morning, the Stratford Theatre
actors will be working with selected drama. KRISTIN
students on a movement workshop. In the BROOKS
afternoon, the actors will be sharing PANTHER
Shakespeare's Hamlet' with English classes. PROFILE ..
This is a great opportunity for those stu-
dents interested in theatre and the arts, so take
advantage and participate in this Shakespearean
day!
Panther Pride Day.is on its way! So get ready,
Panthers, for a day of: arts; sports, food, and most
of all, spirit! Remember, to wear those. old South
Huron cheerleading.sweaters or football jackets,
or at least dig out red and black clothes to cele-
brate the event. •
The day will begin early, at 8. a.m., with a
breakfast. Students are invited to Invite a staff
member to breakfast or staff to take their class to
breakfast. Take a moment to show your thanks
to a friendly secretary, custodian, bus
driver or teacher by treating them to a
healthy start to the day.
After breakfast, classes will take
place in the morning and the rest of the
fun activities will begin at 1 p.m.
The day's first afternoon activities
include an arts cafe, road hockey, flag
football, hackey sack, tai bo and a staff
vs students baseball .or basketball
game. Later, guest instructors will be
running a workshop 9n how to swing
dance and the Black Jazz Band will
hold a swing dance so students can try
out those newly learned skills.
" Dinner will be held at 5 p.m. in the cafeteria,
and to finish off a busy day, parents and commu-
nity members, as well as the new recruits for next
year, are invited to tour the school at 7 p.m. and
see what our fine teaching and learning has pro-
duced. So get ready, South Huron, Panther Pride
Day is almost here!

to old problems. There

tray this event in politi-
