Volunteer tea
The Exeter Villa thanked its volunteers last week with an afternoon tea. Enjoying
some cake served by Kim Caruso are Mary F. Dow of Mitchell (left) and Murray
Christie of Usborne Twp. who provide musical entertainment on a regular basis.
More than 60 people attended the tea.The Villa has 30 in-house volunteers and
10 musical groups.

Get ready for the Big Bike Ride
HURON -PERTH - Sign up your team of
co-workers, friends and relatives for a
ride on the original Big Bike for Stroke
in support of the Heart and Stroke
Foundation of Ontario.
Our 30 -seat bicycle is now in its sixth
successful year on the road around the
province! We're ready to ride into your
neighbourhood big or small - to take
you on a two to three km tour.
Scheduled dates are Sun. June 6, in the
South Huron area including Exeter,
Ilensall, and Zurich; Thurs. July 1 in
Lucknow, Goderich - Canada Day
Celebration, Clinton and Exeter; and Fri.
July 2 in Wingham.
Your 29 -member team (we do the dri-
ving) can get together for a great time
while showing your community spirit.
Put on costumes, wear your company T-
shirts, sing your special cheers and get
ready for a ride You won't soon forget.

your seat on the Big Bike. The higher
you fund raise, the more prizes you

involvement, all team captains will

Stanley Jay was officient
on April 25 for the Holy
Eucharist service at St.
Patrick's, the fourth
Sunday of Easter.
Rose Cunningham and
Katie -Scarlet t
MacGillivray assisted with
the scripture readings. Liz
Jay gave a children's
focus entitled "Jesus is my
Leader. I will follow him. I
know His voice."
Rev. Jay was given a
:ose bush from the'
Sunday School children
with a prayer for contin-
ued recovery from his
accident.
On May 2 the Rev.
Stanley Jay will be again
at St. Patrick's at 10:30
a.m.
Heather MacGillivray
and Hazel Davis visited on
Tuesday with Rev. Stanley
and Liz Jay at their home
in Mitchell with a gift and
card from the congrega-
tion at St. Patrick's.
Rose Cunningham and
Hazel Davis attended the
annual conference of
Anglican Church Women
of the Diocese of Huron
held at St. Paul's
Cathedral in London on
April 24. The, theme for
1999 is "Reconciliation."
Retiring A.C.W. chap-
lain, The Rev. Canon
Beverley A. Wheeler gave
a message entitled
"Healing in the Lord's
Prayer."
Afternoon speaker Dr.
Helen Reesor was fol-
lowed by the celebration
oI' the Eucharist by The
Most Rev. P.R. O'Driscoll,
Archbishop of Huron.

Luncheon at St. Marys on
Friday, a guest of Mary
Jones. •

Cunninghams on Friday
evening and Sunday
Arnold and Rose visited
Gord and Sharon Wright
of Wingham.
