boundaries still undetermined
EXETER — While the
organization committee
for the amalgamation
of Exeter and Stephen
and Usborne townships
is almost finished its
work, the issue of
boundaries has still not
been determined.
The committee
deferred discussion of
the issue at its meeting
last Wednesday
because it is waiting
for a response from
Hay Twp. regarding a
request to annex the
northern portion of
Dashwood. Dashwood,
a police village, is split
by Highway 83.
A public meeting in
Dashwood two weeks
ago indicated the resi-
dents don't want the
village to be torn apart.
Hay Twp. council was
slated to discuss the
issue at last night's
council meeting after
the T -A went to press.
Hay will then have to
consult with its. group
of six on April 14.
The Exeter-Stephen-
Usborne group meets
again on April 22 in the
Exeter council cham-
bers at 7:30 p.m.
