Classics win in Grand Valley GRAND VALLEY - The Lucan Classics oldtimers capped a great weekend for Lucan hockey by winning the Grand Valley tournament. The Classics edged Durham 3-2 in the final after downing Orangeville 5-2, Grand Valley 4-2 and Durham 6-1 in round robin play. Lakers win minor bantam title HURON -PERTH - The Huron -Perth 'AAA' Lakers won the minor bantam Affiance League championship on the weekend. The Lakers defeated host Hamilton 2-0 on Friday and again 3-1 in Monkton on Saturday. Daryl Bourne scored once while Derek Taylor, Nick Haberer and Jesse Schroeder picked up assists cN RS44M ,VS/„e.f•cl :ia-v,'t Lucan 3 -on -3 in Hensall too HENSALL - Welcome aboard Hensall Arena. The 3 -on -3 Hockey International tournament planned for the Lucan and St. Marys arenas hi,., experienced an unprecedented respc se from teams which has resulted in the need for ice time at Hensall Arena. Due to the interest, the more teams are needed to fill the new 60 team limit. Divisions offered are youth born in '92 up to '81-82 in both competitive and house/local league categories as well as men's rec and elite. Entry fee is $300 per team of 10 players maximum with a four game guarantee and prizes to winners. Fore more information, call Chet Couture at (519) 666-2234.
