with standards from the
Ministry of the Environ-
ment and Energy.
According to clerk -
treasurer Luanne Phair,
who informed council of
the change at Monday's
meeting, the MOEE will
only grant a Certificate
of Approval for the site if
garbage is being covered
up on the same day it is
received. Phair said gar-
bage now being collected
on Mondays at the site is
being covered on
Wednesdays after village
garbage collection.
To comply with the
MOEE, effective April 1,
the village's landfill site
will be open Wednesdays
from 1-3 p.m. so garbage
can then be immediately
covered.

Monday's council meet-
ing:
Village to update com-
puter
Phair said the pro-
vincial government is
hoping to get all mu-
nicipalities on-line so
that all communications
can be accomplished on
the Internet. To get this
done, the province is
providing funding for
municipalities to up-
grade their computers.
Hensall is eligible for up
to $6,000 in funds for
computer enhancement.
The village's computer
needs: Pentium -level
speed, 32 MB RAM mem-
ory, Windows '95, a CD
ROM and a 28.8 BPS mo-
dpni. It must also be Y2K
7. apt. The village's
nil_ er falls short be -
'so it is not Y2K com-
pliant, has insufficient
memory and no modem
or CD POM.
Council gave Phair the
go-ahead to upgrade the
