The games were alt close. On Feb.. 12, Hensall lost 6-5 in Goderich; on Feb. 14, the Sherwoods fell 6-4 at home; on Feb. 18, Hensall fell 8-6 in Goderich; Hensall came up just short at home Sunday and lost 5-4. "It was a good series," Sherwoods coach Dale Timmermans said. "They definitely didn't beat us." Timmermans attributes the difference in the series as his team's inex- perience at playing Sr. A hockey in the playoffs. He added the offence had some trouble finishing. Hensall was leading 5-3 after the second period on Feb. 18 but folded in the final period. Timmermans said the referee played a big part in Sunday's game. At one point, Hensall and Goderich each had seven players in the penalty box and five players from each team were handed ..c Minor hockey scoreboard Get back here! Timmermans is satisfied with his team's overall play in its first \anon in the league. "We're happy with the way it came out," he said. Next season Timmermans is looking for more commitment from his players, especial - Haugh Tire Inc. 265 Thames Rd. Hwy. #83 E., Exeter Call 2353752 ly when it comes to attending practices. Timmermans hopes the Sherwoods will finish third or better next sea- son if the league still has five teams and advance farther in the playoffs. The prospects look good for the Sherwoods since the average player age is about 24 and since almost all of the players are already thinking about next season.
