EXETER - Tickets for
the loth Annual
Conservation Dinner,
hosted by the Ausable
Bayfield Conservation
Foundation and the
Exeter Lions Club on April
15 are selling swiftly,
according to Rob.Ridley of
the dinner committee.
Those who book their
tickets before March 2
will have a chance to win
this year's early bird
draw, a limited edition
print entitled "Road To
... " by artist Jan
Cressman-Weiss. This
print has been sponsored
by Exeter Toyota and is
currently on display at the
dealership.
This is just one of many
fine artworks and col-
lectibles being assembled
for the gala fund-raising
event that features a
deluxe catered meal and
the excitement of winning
auction bids and raffle
prizes.
The Conservation
Dinner raises funds for
local conservation pro-
jects that benefit residents
and visitors to the local
watershed.
Last year the dinner
brought in $29,920 for
the Camp Sylvan outdoor
education .program,
stocking rainbow trout at
Morrison Dam and
improvements to Ausable
Bayfield Conservation
Authority trails.
The Lions Club used
their portion of the pro-
ceeds for MacNaughton
Park improvements.
"Traditionally, tickets
sell out early in the new
year," said Lois Morgan, a
Dinner committee mem-
ber from the Parkhill
area.
Tickets, priced at
$37.50 each, can be
obtained from the
Ausable Bayfield
Conservation Authority or
individual dinner commit-
tee members including
chairman Tom Tomes, as
well as Paul Anstett,
Nancy Becker, Peter
Darbishire, Andy deBoer,
Jon Dinney, Fred Dobbs,
Sandra Funk, Joe Gibson,

Hensall Public School students from Ieft:Alisha Binckle, Cole Hulley and Sean
Consitt enjoy a pancake luncheon at the Hensall United Church on Shrove
Tuesday. More than 200 people attended the first-time event which raised $600-
$700 with half going to the school and half going to the church.
