celebrates
Valentine's
Day

Volunteer Auxiliary met
the first Monday of the
month to preview the
schedule for February.
Each volunteer' received
a newsletter to stay
updated on scheduled
events. •
Church services the
past. two weeks have
been led by Pastor Elly
Van Bergen of the Varna
United Church and Rev.
Tuininga of the Exeter
Christian Reformed
Church. Belva Fauss
remains the organist for
church services. -
The Christian Reformed
Singers entertained resi-
dents the first Tuesday
evening of the month
with a wonderful pro-
gram of ,Gospel music.
Friendship Friday' found
Clare Masse and Andrew
Rau picking the tunes on
their guitars for an atten-
tive audience in the
Retirement Home
Lounge.
February 11 was a busy
day as The Grand Bend
Kitchen Band performed
their unique and humor-
ous program for the resi-
dents in the afternoon.
Residents enjoyed seeing
the variety of aprons
worn as part of the cos-
tumes. In the evening 18
Senior Diners gathered
for a delicious meal and
stayed for entertainment
provided by singer and
pianist Loren McKenzie
from the Wingham area.
The Hensall Beaver
pack were in Wednesday
evening and brought
Valentines and played
bingo with residents.
The . Kippen United
Church women • are
appreciated for assis-
tance and prizes for
bingo. each Monday in
February.
The .Hensall Legion and
Legion Ladies Auxiliary
visited Sunday Feb. 14
and sponsored a beauti-
ful Valentines party for
residents. Norma
Prerscator's Dancers
entertained with several
numbers performed by
children four to 15.
Following the dance
numbers, Belva Fuss
played love songs ' on the
piano. The legion mem-
bers provided angel food
cake and ice cream for
refreshments.
Queensway was pleased
to have a booth at the
Grand Bend Legion,
Showcase for Seniors
Monday February 8. We
look forward to comple-
tion of the new addition
when an open house will
be planned.
