LUCAN BIDDULPI-I —
The Lucan Community
Memorial Centre got a lit-
tle timely help from an
insurance renewal to fin-
ish in the black for the
first time ever.
Lucan Biddulph council-
lor and arena board chair-
person Perry Caskanette
told township council the
good news at last week's
regular meeting.
Though unaudited, the
arena finished the year
with an about $12,000
surplus. '
Caskanette said the sur-
plus comes from the hard
work of arena staff and a
switch in insurance com-
panies.
Township chief adminis-
trator Ron Reymer said
the switch ininsurance
companies and policy
renewal dates is a one-
time savings.
The surplus will be
rolled over into next year's
arena budget. .
In other arena board
news, .work on fire pull
alarms for the arena exits
worth about $10,000
should be done and ready
for a fire official inspection
on Feb. 12.
