Stress counsellors ready t� help

The Middlesex Pork Producers'
Association has hired Neil Gregory as a
stress counsellor.
Gregory's key focus will be. providing
professional counselling services to farm
families and others directly impacted by
the current farm crisis in Middlesex and
surrounding counties. He wilt also assist
individuals in •accessing other local
resources related to financial and stress
counselling as needed.
Gregory's background includes parish
ministry with the Anglican Church of
Canada in rural Saskatchewan where he
worked closely with • farm families. Most
recently he worked as, a family preser-
vation specialist in Pittsburgh.

Del Bianco grew up in Oxford County
in a small village surrounded by farms
and is ,familiar with the farm crisis.
"I have heard the. worries, anxieties
and fears of loss that have been weigh -
ing heavily on the shotildere of many
over the last few months," Del Bianco
saki.
He stresses his services are for any
member of families who may need "an
extra ear to talk to during these stressful
times."
Del Bianco is offering his services at
his office in Auburn, at the Clinton
OMAFRA office or at a person's home.
John Field, Perth's stress counsellor
works out of the Stratford OMAFRA
office at 271-0280 extension 227 or 1-
800-265-8502. All services are, confiden-
tial.
Stress counselling services can be
received by calling the Crisis
Intervention Centre at 1-800-829.7484.

is a 24-hour confidential counselling and
referral service for residents of
Perth and Huron Counties. It is open
365 days/year.

SEAI:URTH — The Avon Maitland District School
Board is now accepting registration forms for French
Immersion programs beginning in Grades 1 and 4.
The program begins in Sept. 1999.
While specific sites haven't been named yet, French
Immersion for the two grades will be available in three
locations: the Wingham area, the Clinton/Seaforth area
and the Stratford area.
Where possible, the board will attempt to bus stu-
dents.
Registration forms are available at your child's school
or the Administration Office, 62 Chalk Street North in
Seaforth.
The deadline for registration is Fri., Feb. 19, and
forms can be returned to your child's school or to the
