Chiefs to take on
BX93 Bullshooters
EXETER — The Exeter Juvenile
Chiefs aren't going to take any bull
from the BX93 Bullshooters during their charity
hockey game at South Huron Rec Centre Friday
night.

Missed...but not by much
The game is a fund-raiser for the Exeter
Centennials senior men's soccer team and Exeter
Minor Soccer. Proceeds will go. towards erecting
lights at the South Huron Rec Centre pitch.
The ice time was donated by the rec board.
Chiefs assistant coach Mike Soldan said they
are trying to get together the '96/97 OMHA
champions Chiefs team and will fill in the holes
with current Chiefs.
Soldan will be behind the bench for the game
and head coach Kevin McArter plans on donning
th blades for the Chiefs.
Tiaka0 cost $3 for adults and $2 for children 12
and under and are available at the door.

Youth curlers advance to
regionals in Vanastra
WINGHAM — Exeter's girls and boys curling
rinks advanced to the regional playdowns at
Vanastra Feb. 13-14 after both captured the 'B'
final at the Gore Mutual School finals in
Wingham on the weekend.
The girls beat Goderich 8-7 in the 'B' final after
losing the 'A' final to Clinton. The girls beat London
St. Thomas Aquinas and Listowel in pool play.
The rink is comprised of skip Beth Ann Hern, vice
Laura Miller, second Marilou Hern and lead Jenni
Debiock.
The boys lost their first game but ended up 'B'

011ivier wins silver at
provincial pentathlon event
TORONTO - Granton's Ayden 011ivier has
added another track and field medal to her
treasure trove.
011ivier won silver in the juvenile girls pen-
tathlon at the recent Ontario track and field
combined events championship at York
University.
Athletes competed in the 60m hurdles, high
jump, shot put, long jump and 800m.
Campbell pots one for Rockets
STRATHROY — Jeff Campbell continues to
contribute to the Strathroy Jr. B Rockets.
The Henall native scored a goal in Strathroy's
ame versus the London Nationals on Sunday.

Hensall Sherwoods goaltender Darren Kints watches the puck slide through the
crease during Sunday's game at Hensall Arena versus Monkton. Hensall won 7-4 to
end their first regular season on a positive note. Hensall lost at Goderich 14-3
Friday and fell to Lucknow at home 8-5 Saturday. Sherwoods coach Dale
Timmermans said the team has been playing with only two lines for about two
weeks.The newly formed line of Jason Schilbe, Jeff Ansems and Chad Ramer have
been lighting up the scoreboard and accounted for 14 of Hensall's points in the
last two games.The Sherwoods finished the regular season with a 6-16-2 record.
They now take on Monkton in the first round of the playoffs in a best two out of
three series. Game one is at Hensall Saturday at 8:30 p.m.; game two is at
Monkton Sunday; game three (if necessary) is at Hensall Feb. 10 at 9:30 p.m.
