HENSALL COIIRESPONDENT
HENSALL - Chuck Mallette was the organist for the
Christmas Eve service at Hensall United Church. 'Fhe
,greeters were Ann and Michael Annen' and Krista
Taylor. Janice and Garry Alderdice were ushers. Pat
yaw. and Gail Masse and family lit the Advent Wreath can-
dies. Rob Jolly and Luke Wolli4 were in charge of the '
lights. , Christine Pryde and Thandi Tomay read the
'children's story. Hayden Jolly helped with the nativity
scene. Scripture readings were given by Ross Kercher,
Sarah Stoll and Jessica Wallis. A blue candle was lit by
Sandra O'Rourke. Prayer was given by Mindy Bell.
Wayne and Pat Campbell accepted the offering.
Communion was served by Jennifer Alderdice, Robert
Erb and Steve and Ann Marie McGregor. A large crowd
attended the special service: Rev. Pam Tolmay is the
minister at Hensall United.
On December 27, Vern and Mona Alderdice were the
greeters at the r'lensall United Church. Pat and Peter
Pryde were the ushers., Christine Pryde lit the candle.
Jean Jacobe was the pianist for the singing of -carols.
The church office will be closed until January 4. In an
emergency call Karen Jolly at 262-3207 or Rev.
Tolrnay at 519-245-759$.
Winners in the Hensall Legion Auxiliary "Money Doll"
draw were Nancy Vanstone, Goderich and M. Frame of
Exeter who won the $25 consolation prize.
A Christmas Eve service was held at Carmel
Presbyterian Church. Tracey Annette Whitson-Bahro
conducted the service. Bob and Marlene Bell lit the
Christ candle and read 'art advent prayer. Whitson-
Bahro told the children's story. Jim Love sang "0 Holy
Night". Scripture passages were read by Whitson-
Bahro, Marilyn Campbell, Bev Moir and Jan. Baker.(
Several Christmas carols were sung. At the end of the
service the children received treats.
