* Th.e 'Friends of Morrison committee has been
formed to raise funds and provideguidance for the
recreational ex,mportents of MUCH: The committee
preps away for local citizens to get•involved.
* The lions Club has is staring another beautifi-
cation of Exeter project.. This project vkill be trans-
forming the barren lot formerly occupied by the
town offices into a fully landscaped area. The
MacNaughwn Park project has .been considered by
many W be the best thing that's happened w Exeter.
* Exeter. Usborne. Stephen and Grand Bend have
combined to amalgamation talks that. includes but
is not limited to Exeter, Osborne, Stephen, Grand
Bend. and a portion of Bosanquet. Other muniripali-
ties are encouraged w join.

* The -Exeter and Area fire department extin-
guished a blaze at the farm of Peter Schroeders.
The fire started when'a small garbage can fire light-
. • ed a pile of debris troth a barn renovation. The fire-
lighters battled a strong easterly wind which fanned
fie flames to an e.iisting barn.
*. The eight Huron Perth hospitals have formed a
partnership agreernent that will allow each hospital
to remain open and maintain independence. The

the Town of Exeter is dissolved on January 1, 1999 and under the Order
from the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing "THE HYDRO-
ELECTRIC COMMISSION FOR THE TOWN OF EXETER" is established on
January 1, 1999.
Beginning January 1, 1999, all cheques for bill payment must 6e made
payable to the "EXETER HEC". The Exeter Hydro -Electric Commission will
continue to operate the Water Department for the Town of Exeter.
