Precious Blood
EXETER — Precious Blood Mission has been
granted permission from the Diocese of London
to go ahead with plans to build a new Catholic
church in Exeter.
After 25 years of sharing Trivitt Memorial
Church with the Anglican congregation.
Precious Blood and the community have. grown
to the point where a larger facility is needed.
"The Catholics and Anglicans have had a good
and unique arrangement in sharing a facility
for the past 25 years," said Brian Westlaken of
the Precious Blood :Mission.
Property has been purchased for the new
church west of Sanders St. close to Precious
Blood School.
The building committee is selecting an archi-
tect with conceptual designs to be presented in
the spring.
A new fund-raising committee has been
established to continue building on the funds
that have already been raised for the new wor-
ship and hall facility.
