The Very
Special
Christmas T
Heather Irvin
McGillivray Sch
One day, two w
before Christmas, a
family went to searc
the perfect Christ
tree.
They looked all o
and they couldn't
exactly what they w
ed. As they were dri
home, they saw an
condemned house wit
beautiful Christmas t
in front of it, but no p
son lived there. Th
drove up the Janeway
look at the astonishi
tree.' It was the perf
tree alright, the ram
thought.
The tree saw them
looking at him, the tree
was sad because the old
lady who once lived there
hated Christmas. The
tree just sat there all
winter, staring at the
beautifully decorated
trees across the street,
and wished that some-
day, he too, would have
the pleasure of wearing
the colourful bands of
lights around his,branch-
es.
Winters, and winters
went by without having
hope of having shining
, lights on him. The family
thought the tree was so
beautiful, they didn't
want to cut it down, so
they dug it up and left a
huge hole in the ground.
It was a bumpy ride for
the tree, but as soon as
he saw the pulchritudi-
nous decorated hou
that they were pulli
into the driveway
nothing else mattered.
lee Soon after, the Ve
e Special Christmas Tr
ool was planted in the fa
ly's front yard. The ch
eeks dren decorated the tr
small with lights, ornament
h for and shining glass ball
mas The tree finally had g
his wish.
ver, People came from
find miles around to see th
ant- Very Special Christma
ving Tree. The first snow o
old winter was a very special
h a time for the tree, and he
ree caught snowflakes all
e5-- day on his sparkling
ey branches.
