Once the bogus bank omeial gains the co-operation of the victim, the victim is instructed to go to their bank and with- draw a predetermined sum of cash from their account and then go to a nearby parking lot to turn the money over' to a person acting as a police offi- cer. The victim is then told to drive straight home and not tell anyone of the incident and•wait for further contact. ' The OF'P• is asking anyone that receives a similar cull to report it immediately to your local police agency. The OM urges people not to submit to the request without nest contacting police and known bank otiicials. Last honour. Lucan Citizenship Committee member Sue }laskett read a citation documenting 1 lson's char- itable endeavors to council which then unanimously passed a resolution to pre- sent her with the award. Elvin is the last recipient of the Lucan Citizenship Award due to amalgama- tion with Iliddulph Township that takes effect Jan. 1, 1999.
