always makes families realize that
Christmas is fast approach-
ing. Before .Christmas. how-
ever, comes Advent a season
of dark before the light' of
Christmas. This Monday
will mark the first of three
when we will start our
week with a ceremony of
lighting the advent candles.
Students will watch thea lighting
of the first candle via the Ln -house
TV network. This week we will
celebrate reconciliation and stu
dents will have the opportunity to
attend reconciliation with one of
. eight pastors from the parishes of.
Huron. On Tuesday, • December 1.
staff will have an early evening.
mass followed by a dinner to cele-
brate the promotion of Mr. Ray
Contois to the. position of
Superintendent of Schools for .
Huron -Perth District Board. This
mass will allow staff to celebrate .
as a community of faith and at the
same time wet•sotne, the season of
Advent and oventually Christmas.
This week we will have our
Semi -Formal Dance and students
are busy preparing the event with
.stuff. It's always such •a•wondorful
thing to see students dressed
up and looking so, adult.

For those who attended it was
great to see such 'a diverse pre-
sentation showcasing the talents of
so many. Design classes. technolo•
-
gy students, drama -classes and -all
who worked • as co -curricular, par-
ticipants produced a wonderful
result that portrayed the energy
and spirit that has become ,a hall-
mark of our• school. There is a
rumour -that -springtime will. pro-
vide us with .a musical people
won't soon forget .
As we enter this rapid. rushing
season of shopping and card writ-
ing; visits and more, let's not forget
what the point of th
