Peebles was the guest
minister at Hensall United
church on the first
Sunday of Advent. The
first candle was lit by Bob
Erb and daughter
Leeanne.. Following the
call to worship Evelyn
Elder told a children's
story. "True Light" was
the topic of Rev. Peeble's
sermon. The offering was
taken by Cecil Pepper and
Raye Jacobe. Anne Annen
and Michael and Bob Erb
were the greeters. Jean
Hodgert was the organist
for the service. White gifts
were received. Prayers
are asked for the United
Church at Whitechurch.
Limited quantities of the
church calendar are
available from Anne
Annen. The Friendship
Circle meets at Kay
Mock's on December 7. A
wrapped gift for a lady or
child will be collected for
Friendship House in
Goderich. Mittens,
scarves, and hats will be

NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSING N.
TAKE NOTICE that the Corporation of the Township of L
Biddulph intends to pass by-law at its meeting on
December 1, 1998 to close part of an' unopened
highway O'Flynn Street through Part Lot 25, Concession
1 (Leslie and Steven Greenlee, property) 'as shown on
Plan 178. A full metes and bounds description of the
section of ,road to be closed may be obtained from the
Clerk of the Township.
AND TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Township of
Biddulph shall hear any person who claims that his/her
land will be prejudicially affected by the by-law and who
applies to be heard. Any person wishing to be heard
must apply at the address below and a day and time will
be set. Any person who does not otherwise apply may
attend the meeting of Council commencing at 7:30 p.m.
on December 1, 1998 and such person will be heard by
Council.
