Names will be accepted until Tuesday, November 30 at 5 p.m. Charitable organizations in the Village of Hensall are reminded that appli- cations for the .Province's "Advance Funding. Program" must _ be received by December 15 at 5 p.m. Complete appli- cations will be reviewed by the, Hensall Village Council, for a recommen- dation to.the Province, for funds disbursement. (Incomplete applications will not be forwarded to Council). Applications (and requirement listings) are available from the- iensafl Municipal Office. The Hensall Volunteer Fire Department is cur- rently accepting applica- tions' for the: position; of Firefighter. A reminder to llensall. .residents that -parking on all village streets is pro- hibited between the hours of 2-7 a.nt. Violators will be ticketed. Pet owners in Hensall are advised that the fees for dog registration have changed for 1999: Pet owners wishing to register. their aninnal with the life- time fee. should be pre- pared to present -.proof of the animal's identification. Cat tags for 1999 are cur- rently available from the Municipal Office. . Christmas party . The Hensall • Parks Board will be hosting a Christmas . Party. December 12. A limited number of tickets are still available. For additional .information contact the llensall Municipal Office, or the Arena. • Reminder Motorized, snow vehicles in the village are prohibit- ed from:. public sidewalks, shoulders and boulevards. It is requested the vehicles by driven at the road side. Also, snowmobiles are restricted from private property. Skating Club co-chair Sandi Smith said the fashion show is one of several fund- raising initiatives the club holds each year, including its NewYear's Eve dance and an adult competition in February.There are aver 30 members in the club. Branch 'Poppy Chairman Larry Uyl'reported the Legion had a successful Poppy Campaign, "realizing a total of $1612.36. We thank once again all the businesses, schools and .the community without whose help- this couldn't... have happened. Motions were made to make _.a donation to the Adult Day Centre, Huron safe Homes, and the Childrens Aid -Society. Christmas Bureau. Tickets are $5 Return El surplus to employers, employees, says Turnberry council 131.L INA I.E - Members -of •I'urnberry council were unable to attend the Nov. 10meeting on the topic of how-to spend the surplus in the Employment Insurance Fund; but have some definite ideas about how the money should be distributed. Council pissed ii motion notifying Huron MP Paul Steckle, Who hosted the meeting at the F. E. Madill Secondary School, that the surplus in the fund should be returned to those who paid it in the first place - business and employees. Pat Campbell and Lillian Beer were the Reaffirmation Committee. The Communion preparation committee were Lillian Beer, Jayne Fragiskatos, and Pat Pryde. The com- munion servers were Joshua Fields and John - Thomson, Danny Moir and Ken Elder, and Krista Taylor and Kathy Mann. -Reaffirmation of Baptism candidates were Jennifer L. Alderdice. Cecelia M.
