the Hurondale wornen's Institute meeting held. at the
home of Gladys Richardson. at 1 15 after dessert o1'

Marion Dougall gave a report on thefall ran) and

was held at the Kirkton Community Centre. The W. 1,

• was .presented with an Institute plate in honour of •
- her and her husband's fiftieth wedding anniversary.
Richardson displayed her inany hand painted
plates and pieces of china. The ladies then watched
the W.1. film on -"Literacy , the Hidden Problem".
Fern Dougall gave a report on the literacy problems
•which had been discussed at a workshop.
Helen Webber opened the program_ with a reading
un, Thanksgiving-. Bev.Campbell gave several
humourous readings. The Tweedsenuir history book
and scrap books were then put on display. All mem-
bers were given questions on the history books and
an interesting half hour was spent listening to the
answers. •The scrap books which .are kept up to date
by Laura Sillery were .really fascinating.
Marilyn Pym conducted a contest with a travelling
gift which was won by Sillery. •
Christmas Tour this weekend

and view their interiors,.
The Country Christmas Home Tour is
an annual fund-raiser to support edu-
c•ational exhibits. events and school
'programs offered by the Lambton
Heritage Museum. The show in. its .
sixth year. acid usually draws 1.5O0 vis-
itors.. The show runs on both days_ from
10 a:tn. p.m. Tickets are $12.
The special opening night Candle-
Glow Preview on Fri.. Nov. 13 allows_
visitors to avoid lineups, and • enjoy the
homes "lit by candle and lamps. Thr

theme for this lively evening is the
British Royal Remits in honour of the
