- The Hensall Fire Department held' its open house on Oct. 7 as part of Fire •
Prevenuon Week;Aspart of the open house, homeowners were urged to.
come up with afire escape plan for their own homes in the Great Escape con-
test Fire chief Ken Bruxer said the majority of the escape plans he saw were

a Build a
Playground silent
auction and penny y
carnival.
The 'fund-raiser '
takes place on
Sunday, Oct. 18 at
the Hensall Arena
from 3-7 p.m.
The event also includes a talent
show with 'The Snake Lady' Val
Wiliants. The fun fair includes a ring
toss, bowling. fish pond and other
• events with a "prize
every time" accord-
ing to the event:flyer.

corn will be sold. '
