match win over Goderich and a
3-0 sweep over Seaforth. The
juniors go 1-2 versus both Gode-
rich and Seaforth.

gional and then provincial finals
of which Couture was the class
of the field, in Ontario.
Couture also won. the '96 pre-'
rookie national gold medal. Pre -
rookie is the youngest age cat-
egory.
While in Toronto, Couture and
his family (along With all the
other , provincial title holders)
were treated to a baseball clinic
at • Centennial Park; free. ac-
commodation and a reception/
dinner at the -Valhalla inn, tick-!
els to the Toronto. Blue Jays/•
Detroit Tigers game on Sat-
urday, a free '. ball park lunch
(hot dog, pizza, pop corn and
soft drink) . and free trans-'
portation between the hotel,
Centennial Park and Skydome. -
Besides winning the gout
medal. the' highlight -for Couture
was meeting several Blue Jays
including Jose Cruz Jr.-
' Couture is a product of Lucan
Minor Hockey and plays many'
other sports . including baseball

and lacrosse.
